Uppercase Converter

Uppercase, also called all caps, is text in which every letter is a capital letter. This uppercase converter changes each lowercase letter to its capital form, accented letters included, and leaves numbers, punctuation, spacing, and line breaks exactly as you typed them, so lists and paragraphs keep their layout.

Uppercase Converter rules

  1. Every lowercase letter becomes its capital form, in any alphabet that has capital letters (Latin, Greek, Cyrillic).
  2. Capital letters, numbers, punctuation, symbols, and emoji stay as they are.
  3. Spacing and line breaks are kept, so paragraphs and lists keep their layout.
  4. A few letters change length: the German ß becomes SS, following the Unicode case rules your browser applies.
  5. Converting to uppercase loses the original capitalization of names and acronyms. Another case tool cannot restore it; use Undo to get your original text back.

How to use

  1. Type or paste your text into the editor.

  2. Press UPPERCASE to convert the text in place. Pasted text converts at once.

  3. Copy the result, or use Undo to go back to your original text.

When to use Uppercase Converter

  • Editors and writers

Short labels, kickers, and notices where your house style calls for all caps.

  • Designers

Button labels, signs, and banners. On a web page, CSS text-transform: uppercase changes how text looks without changing the text itself.

  • Developers

Normalizing codes such as airport, country, or currency codes before comparing them.

  • Data cleanup

Making a column of state abbreviations, SKUs, or postal codes consistent before import.
